The Brazil135 Ultra Journey Is Not Your Momma's Race!

The distance of the 2025 Brazil135 Ultra Journey will be 150 Miles or 240 Km:

 

1. The Journey:
 

• Distance: 150 Miles (240 Km)

• Course: Águas da Prata-Pico do Gavião-Paraisópolis-Luminosa-Paraisópolis

• Decision Points (PDs):

  • 55 Miles - Inconfidentes

  • 70 Miles - Borda da Mata >>> THIS DECISION POINT IS REMOVED!!!!

  • 80 Miles - Tocos do Mogi

  • 100 Miles - Estiva (Qualifying for Badwater)

  • 120 Miles - Paraisópolis (Qualifying for Badwater)

  • 135 Miles - Luminosa (Qualifying for Badwater)

• Start Day and Time: 9/Jan/2025 at 08:00 am

• Start Location: Águas da Prata, SP

• Arrival Day and Time (Max): 11/Jan/2025 at 8:00 pm (bonus: 12/Jan/2025 at 8:00 am)

• Arrival Location: Paraisópolis, MG

• Total Max. Duration: 60 Hours/(72 Hours)*

* In celebration of 20 years, there will be a 12-hour bonus in 2025

2. Pre Race Meeting: 
 

• Location: UNIFAE (São João da Boa Vista)

• Date and Time: January 8, 2025 - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

• Schedule:

  • 8:00 - 12:00 pm - Kit delivery, documentation, weighing, etc.

  • 12:00 - 13:00 - Lunch

  • 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm - Technical Congress

  • 3:00 pm - Official Photo

  • 15:15 - 16:00 - Questions and Questions

3. Decision Points (PD)

 

• At the decision points, the runner may decide to “definitely stop” the race without being considered a DNF. Only at the decision points, when the runner decides to stop, it will not be considered as a DNF. (more details about PDs, read the Brazil135 Ultra Journey 2025 regulations. 

 

4. Finish Line:

​

• There will only be one place to cross the finishing line: at the 150 Miles in Paraisópolis.

​

5. Awards PDs and Final Distance (150 Miles):

​

• All PDs will be recognized and awarded;

• All Awards will be held in Paraisópolis;

• All runners of the PD's  distances will receive, in Paraisópolis:​

  • A personalized windbreaker Jacket, with reflective cuts, customized with a logo commemorating 20 years of Brazil135 Ultra Journey, and printed with the runner's name;

  • A finisher t-shirt

  • A Soapstone Gift celebrating the 20th Anniversary with a distance

  • A medal "Second Bird Collection - Red Legged Siriema"

  • For each member of your team, there must be a soapstone commemorative souvenir celebrating 20 years of Brazil135 Ultra Journey;

• For the PD Mile 35 and and final distance of 150 Miles:

• • A personalized windbreaker Jacket, with reflective cuts, customized with a logo commemorating 20 years of Brazil135 Ultra Journey, and printed with the runner's name;

  • A finisher white t-shirt

  • A medal "Second Bird Collection - Red Legged Siriema"

  • For each member of your team, there must be a commemorative soapstone souvenir celebrating 20 years of Brazil135 Ultra Journey;
     

6. Ranking and Championship:

• There will only be 1 (one)  Brazil135 Ultra Journey champion for 2025;

• The 2025 Brazil135 Ultra Journey champion will be considered the one who finishes the 150 Miles first.

• All Decision Points will be ranked (55, 80, 100, 120 and 135 Miles)

• All ranks will be published on the Brazil135 Ultra Journey website, Results 2025 menu .

• No one other than the first to cross the finish line at Paraisopolis will be considered as the 2025 Champion. 
   

7. Runner's Support Mechanisms:

• In 2025, it will not be mandatory to have a support car with a support team.

• In 2025, the Brazil135 Ultra Journey organization will provide a “drop bag” system.
   

8.  Drop Bags:

​

Drop bags will be distributed at the following distances:

• 55 Miles (Inconfidentes)

• 70 Miles (Borda da Mata)=>> NO DROP BACKS

• 80 Miles (Tocos do Mogi)

• 100 Miles (Estiva)

• 120 Miles (Paraisopolis)

• 135 Miles (Luminosa)

• 150 Miles (Paraisopolis

9. Runner's Kit :

​

• Every registered and paid runner will receive, at the pre-race meeting, a runner's kit, containing the following items:

• An Official Brazil135 Ultra Journey 2025 T-Shirt;
  A Runner's Passport (if the runner does not already have one) with a 1-year subscription for vinyl race logo stickers;

• A link for the E-Book - “2024 Logbook”, with the narrative of the runners who participated in the 20 years of creation of the Brazil135 Ultra Journey (2005-2024)

• A Brazil135 Ultra Journey 2025 bag

• An event control bracelet giving access to the Technical Congress lunch for the runner and each registered member of the support team;

• 2 units of Bibs (read the regulations to find out more details about bib numbers).
