Decision Points and Timing Stations

PD-55 - Milha 55 - Inconfidentes (Pousada do Juninho - Juninho Inn)
PD-70 - Milha 70 - Borda da Mata (Praca Central - Main Square)
PD 80 - Milha 80 - Tocos do Mogi (Pousada São Geraldo - St. Geraldo Inn)
PD 100 - Milha 100 - Estiva - (Pousada do Poka - Poka's Inn)
PD 120 - Milha 120 - Paraisopolis (Atrás da Igreja Matriz - Main Catholic Church)
PD 135 - Milha 135 - Luminosa (Pousada Novo Amanhecer - Novo Amanhecer Inn)
Decision Points are Time Stations!!!! What is mandatory?

1. You will take a picture under the Timing Banner.
2. The photo has to show up your face, your bib number and the time clock with time and date.
3. You send a message with your name, your bib, your decision to stop of continue and your photo.
4. Send the message through Whatsapp or FB Messenger to : +1904 866-2086 or +1904 532-2396
5. Make sure the message is received.
6. You should inform the volunteer also about your decision. The volunteer will also register your time, name and bib on a notepad (pen and paper - the ultimate backup!)
What resources are there in each Decision Point?

PD 55 - Inconfidentes - Caminho da Fe Inn with beds, showers, meals.
PD 70 - Borda da Mata - A tent with camping beds, fruits, water.
PD 80 - Tocos do Mogi - Caminho da Fe Inn with beds, showers, meals. They are located on the second floor and there is a stair to access it.
PD 100 - Estiva - Caminho da Fe Inn with beds, showers, meals. A Caldo Verde Soup made with potatoes, collard greens (or kale), onion, garlic, olive oil, and linguíça or chouriço sausage. The potatoes and aromatics are blended to create a silky, green broth, into which the thinly shredded greens and sausage are added.
* This caldo verde will be provided without cost for the runner. (it is included in your entrance fee). (If the support team members want also to enjoy them, the payment should be made directly to the Inn at the time of the consumption of the meal).
PD 120 - Paraisopolis - It is the finish line city. Hotel Central with beds, showers. Meals can be purchased anywhere. There will be fruits and water available for all. Hospital.
PD 135 - Luminosa - Caminho da Fe Inn, with beds, showers, meals. Ressussitation kit and Health professionals.
Mile 15: Pico do Gavião. Is it a Decision Point? What happens there?

Pico do Gaviao at Mile ..... is NOT a Decision Point, therefore you cannot stop your race there.

However,
​​
1. A volunteer will record your time at the summit of Pico do Gavião.
2. You will take a picture at the summit of Pico do Gavião. (there will be a photo backdrop there).
3. If there is internet there, send the photo you took to our timing system team: +19048662086 or +1904 532-2396
3. Whenever you stop at the Decision Point PD-55, it is not mandatory, but it is greatly appreciate if you can send the photo you have taken to our timing station at Whatsapp /FB Messenger - +1904 866-2086 or +1904 532-2396.
4. Make sure your time is registered by one of our volunteers there and that a picture has been taken to prove you went all the way to the summit before descending to the base of the Pico.
5. You can purchase snacks/liquids there. It's your responsability to pay for them, in case you decide to buy them there.

Who is responsible for your split time registration?
​
1. The Brazil135 Ultramarathon's staff is responsible to make sure your time is registered together with your name and bib.
2. The runner is responsible. You are responsible to send your picture under the official clock with date and time.
IMPORTANT: The runner is the most interested party in getting the time right.
What happens if you decide to return and stop after having left a Decision Point?
1. You can return by any means.
2. You have to register a new time for the decision point you have returned.
3. The new time will override the previous time.
4. Your status will change to FINISHER at Mile _____
5. Your distance will change to _______ (the mileage you have stopped).
Timing and Tracking:

1. Your time at any given Decision Point is also one of our tracking system.
2. Everytime your time is registered, you are also giving us information about your location during the race.
3. Because tracking is directly connected to your safety, there will be penalties for not having the time at any PD properly registered.
What happens if you do not register a time at ALL Decision Points?

1. You will be penalized in 2 hours for every Decision Point you do not register your time.
2. These 2 hours for each Decision Point will be added to your final time.
What is optional:

1. You can rest for up 3 hours.
2. You can take a shower.
3. You can eat.
4. Your team members can rest.
5. Your team members can take showers.
6. Your team members can eat/drink.
Who pays for what?
​
1. Brazil135 will pay for your rest and shower. (included in your entrance fee)
2. You pay for your nutrition.
3. You pay for each team member meals
4. You pay for each team member showers
5. You pay for each team member rest.
When, To Whom and How much will the runner pay at the Decision Points:
​
1. All payment should be given straight to the Inn. Brazil135 has nothing to do with these payments. You are responsible to pay them for whatever you use and that is not covered in your entrance fee.
2. Team member showers: R$ (TBI)
3. Up to 3 hour rest: R$ 20,00 (TBI)
4. Meals: to be informed at the time by the Inn personnel.
* It is of good measure to call the inns during the day if you want to have meals ready for you during the night.
